Happy Friday, yogi’s… or well, it’s Friday 🫣 it’s been such a trying week for our country and our world. I feel helpless and distraught. I was reminded that we each can only do our small part that we are capable of. But it’s the sum of the parts that make a better whole. I reminded my classes this week, to think of one thing that they are grateful for, to carry into the new year, a thought of gratitude, peace, love, joy, contentment. I shared a practice in mediation to let that vibe flow outward into the world. The Dalai Lama says one positive thought can undo thousands of negative thoughts. Let’s make our sum of our whole greater, in mass and quality. If we do nothing else to rise up and resist, it can be your intention in your heart.

As the year comes to an end, I’m reflecting on how grateful I am for this community of yogis and the friendships I’ve made. I am becoming more and more aware of my neurodivergent characteristics and habits, thanks to a few friends, and I know that I isolate in difficult times. But I am soooo grateful for all of your friendships your love hasn’t gone unnoticed! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Have you ever had a time in life when you just want to call out “Uncle?!” Or throw in the towel. I think it’s complete heart break. It’s utter and complete exhaustion. But I know I have to, I must, put one foot in front of the other. I return to my mat time and again, for that strength, the balance, to translate what I know on the mat, to live off the mat.
