“I left my soul… on the Pacific Coast.”
It’s been such a week! There are no words. The absolute devastation, and the beauty of the soul of Los Angeles, shining through the ash, as strong and as beautiful as our LA sun.
Life can feel unbearable at times, but just like a balance asana, strength comes trom within. In these moments, we are forced to grow stronger, find balance, and be resilient. Never give up, even when it feels impossible, be brave and keep going —we have to.
Yoga reminds us that strength isn’t just physical; it’s the courage to keep going, to find that something deep within, to put one foot in front of the other when we don’t feel we can take one more step. Remember, we are not born with strength. It’s something that we develop and find deep inside.
With exhaustion after a week of emotion, I played around trying to find that balance today. Lots of wobbles, like everyone here these days. Just feeling our way through these next steps.
Stay strong, stay balanced, and have faith.

A few of my fave moves that you usually get in my #PowerVinyasa class. But what happens when we slow down, stop to take notice? Do we change our perspective on the usual? 😉

✨NOTICING✨ Noticing is an act of presence - a quiet rebellion against the noise of the world. It’s about tuning into the details that remind us how rich life is.
It’s in the sound of a loved one’s laugh, familiar and soothing. The heartwarming conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee. Can you notice a reaction in a conversation? Can you notice the earthy smell of rain, or the way your pet snuggles at your side?
These moments may seem small, but they carry the weight of connection, grounding us to the present moment.
When we notice, we give ourselves permission to be, even to be grateful for what comes to our attention. It reminds us that life isn’t about the grand moments, but the small, often overlooked, blessings. A kind word. A shared glance.
At this time of year, let’s notice the twinkle of the lights, the way the stars seem brighter… and when we do, do we notice that the world seems to fall still, time stops for a brief moment.

The last couple wks, I asked us to sit into the moments, to feel, not positive-vibe-wash the feelings we may have, to sit into our hips & open our hearts.
Now, here we are at December 3rd. Unless you have a significant date on December 3rd, it tends to be just one of those days… in between. It’s in between Thanksgiving & the holidays. In between having one festivity & maybe soon more parties. But what about some other in-between moments that might be beautiful if we stopped & savored them…
That moment in between waking up & getting up, when the bed is still warm & you haven’t yet opened your eyes.
That moment between having just cooked a lovely meal & then watching it be inhaled.
That moment between meeting your love & that first kiss.
These in-betweeen moments are transitions that really test our ability to be present. Can we be present in the moments in between the moments? On our mat, it’s not just doing one asana, then the next. How do we move through our transitions between asanas? How do we move between moments on our mat & in our life? Can we do it with more presence & more grace, savoring them, even elongating them?
Last week, we focused our attention in our core, our naval, the gut, the seat of our emotions. This week I ask you to keep the core activated, because there is a lot of balance in transition, on the mat & off. We balance life, we balance in asana. When we know our grounding, then activate our core strength, we can balance with strength & grace.
Another key part of transitions is managing the anxiety / stress, which we may store in our shoulders & upper back. So we do a bit of shoulder opening this week to relieve that.
Anyone feel like this rings true? Anyone want to see what it looks like to balance through transition with a little bit of beauty?
